Advanced Design is an independent publishing practice that investigates a wide variety of topics. We shed light on often-overlooked perspectives and narratives that emerge from our research. By bending the rules of design and typography and incorporating custom-made fonts, we further evoke the emotions tied to our topics and enrich the visual vernacular of our publications.
The Skeptical Inquirer critically examines popular UFO conspiracy theories. The publication mirrors the aesthetics of conspiracy theory forums and related publications. It also features a custom typeface to further communicate the visual vernacular discovered during the research process.
A collection of interviews with the renowned Soviet filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky. Tarkovsky, Selected Interviews uncovers Tarkovsky's cinematic vision and artistic philosophy.
SightSound serves as a home for many of my past design projects. Free Internet media, doctored ai imagery, everyday symbols, characters, and more are incorporated within. Semiotics, surrealism, and digital art have all played huge roles in my inspiration for this project. In order to communicate these interests I attempted to blur reality and imagination, through the use of digital collaging. Each collage offers a glimpse into a world where familiar objects gain new significance, and messages emerge from the subconscious.
Every afternoon, Turkmenistan's nightly news is uploaded to YouTube, providing an insight into a highly private and isolated nation. 20:59:43 is a compilation of screenshots featuring blatant propaganda featured in these broadcasts, aiming to inform the reader about the nature of the media in an active dictatorship.

Spiders Galore brings together some of the more interesting and entertaining user-submitted psychedelic experiences.
